Principal Investigator

Travis received his BA from the University of Winnipeg and both his MA and PhD from the University of Vermont. He is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont. (Aspiring ultra-runner).

HAN YIN CHENG, PhD
(he / him)

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Han received his BA from National University of Singapore and his MA and PhD from University College London (UCL). During his stint at UCL, he worked with Prof. Kate Jeffery to further understand how the brain resolves complex and ambiguous sensory information during spatial behaviors. Han joined the lab in December, 2020.

HANNAH SCHOENBERG, PhD
(she / her)

Post-Doctoral Researcher

Hannah received her B.S., M.A., and PhD at the University of Vermont. Her graduate work with Dr. Donna Toufexis focused on characterizing sex differences and the involvment of gonadal hormones in instrumental learning. Hannah joined the lab in August, 2021.

NEIL WINTERBAUER, PhD

Research Scientist

Neil received his BA from the University of Missouri - St Louis. After receiving both his MA and PhD from the University of California - Los Angeles, he joined the Bouton Lab at the University of Vermont as a postdoctoral fellow. He currently offers statistical consulting and general programing services by contract. Neil joined the lab part time in 2019.

Neuroscience Graduate Student

Joe received both his BS and MS from the University of Vermont (UVM). Under the supervision of Dr. Wolfgang Dostmann and Dr. George Wellman, he conducted cellular and molecular pharmacological research on the dynamics of Protein Kinase G (PKG) and Cannabidiol (CBD), respectively. Joe is rotating in the lab during summer of 2022.

SAMANTHA MORIARTY
(she / her)

Graduate Student (Hammack Lab)

Sam received her BS in Psychological Science from the University of Connecticut, where she worked with Dr. John Salamone. She is a second year PhD student (Experimental Psychology) in Dr. Jom Hammack's lab, and has been collaborating with the Todd lab since Fall 2021.

Jake Kay
(he / him)

Neuroscience Graduate Student

Jake received his BS in Chemistry and BA in Neurobiology from UC Berkeley. He worked for 8 years at a major pharmaceutical company developing chromatographic methods for small molecules and novel drug delivery systems. He joined the Neuroscience Graduate Program at the University of Vermont to leverage his chemistry background in defining mechanisms of behavior, and is investigating the neurocircuitry of fear conditioning and stress through a collaboration between Dr. Jom Hammack's lab and the Todd lab.

CINDY LI

Research Assistant

Cindy received her B.S. from Pennsylvania State University and is currently enrolled in the Post Bac Pre Med program at UVM. Cindy joined the lab in Winter 2022, and is conducting experiments examining sex differences in fear learning and memory.

Undergraduate Research Assistant

Tsoline is currently a second-year undergraduate student at UVM, pursuing a B.S. in Psychology, with minors in Behavioral Change Health Studies, Human Development and Family Studies, and Sociology.
